Chengdu × Harbin × Beidahu × Chongli Olympic × Beijing Trip
From pandas and hot pot to cross-latitude skiing experiences with ice and snow-capped mountains, Chinese culture and skiing tours.
In fourteen days, the journey traverses China's most contrasting winter landscape—from the vibrant cities of the southwest to the frigid, icy north, through a network of ski resorts, and finally back to the historical scale of the capital. Chengdu, the starting point, is a city of warmth and flavor, with the steaming heat of hot pot and the vibrant life of its people. Harbin showcases European-style streets and giant ice lanterns that create a winter cityscape. Beidahu represents the "structural feel" of the Northeast snow-covered region, with its long runs, stable snow conditions, and forested terrain making skiing direct and pure. Chongli presents a different system—multiple ski resorts juxtaposed, Olympic heritage and modern resort facilities overlapping, allowing for quick transitions between different terrains and styles. Beijing, the finish line, brings the rhythm back to the city: axes, palaces, and historical spaces offer a completely different scale, allowing the entire journey to conclude within cultural and temporal dimensions.
