Yabuli Sun Mountain Ski Resort
Natural Long-season Mountain Versatile
Yabuli was one of the first ski resorts in China and is now one of the largest ski resorts with modern hotels and lifts. The Yabuli ski area consists of several inter-connected areas such as Sun Mountain, Windmill Hill, Yang Hui, Albatron, and Ski Ridge Hero. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 35 km of slopes available. 11 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 457 and 1,375 m. Clubmed is the best hotel option, but there is also a range of local hotels and guest houses for a more authentic experience.Yabuli is approximately 250km’s from Harbin Taiping International Airport. The best transfer option is a shuttle or taxi to Harbin train station, high speed train (1.5 hours) to Yabuli West train station and then a shuttle, hotel transfer or taxi to the Ski Resort.

Handpicked Stays
The accommodation system in the Yabuli Ski Resort area is built around a “mountain resort cluster” concept, forming a multi-level structure that ranges from mountaintop luxury hotels to slope-side ski-in/ski-out resorts and family-friendly apartments at the base. It is now one of the most developed ski resort accommodation systems in China. Hotels in the core ski area generally offer ski-in/ski-out access, allowing guests to step directly onto the slopes and enjoy a seamless skiing experience. Some high-altitude properties emphasize panoramic views, overlooking forests, ski runs, and sunrise or cloud seas, creating an immersive alpine resort atmosphere. In the lower mountain and surrounding resort areas, accommodation mainly consists of resort hotels, serviced apartments, and family-oriented stays, focusing on comfort and value for money, making them ideal for families and beginner skiers. Across the resort, facilities such as restaurants, ski schools, equipment rentals, hot springs or spa services, and entertainment spaces are widely available, forming an integrated “stay, ski, and leisure” experience. Yabuli’s accommodation system combines both professional ski resort functionality and mass tourism appeal, catering to advanced skiers seeking convenience and performance, as well as families and leisure travelers looking for a complete winter holiday experience.
Yabuli Muyunlou Hotel is located on the summit of Sanguokui Mountain in Yabuli at an altitude of about 996.8 meters, making it one of the few luxury hotels in the world built directly on top of a ski resort. The hotel is boutique in scale with only around 20 guest rooms, including deluxe mountain-view rooms and family suites, emphasizing exclusivity, comfort, and panoramic scenery. Thanks to its unique mountaintop location, guests can enjoy sweeping views of Yabuli’s snowfields, forests, and rime-covered landscapes, with stunning sunrises, sunsets, and star-filled skies creating a fully immersive alpine experience. Its signature highlight is the true “ski-in, ski-out” access, allowing guests to ski directly from the hotel onto the slopes and return at any time for rest, offering maximum convenience for a ski holiday. The hotel is also equipped with a range of facilities, including a mountaintop restaurant, wine cellar, coffee shop, KTV, and leisure spaces, providing a well-rounded resort experience within a compact footprint. Recognized for its unique concept and location, it was selected by Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) in 2009, becoming a classic destination for ski enthusiasts worldwide.
