Experience winter in Heilongjiang through two of its most iconic destinations. Begin in Harbin, exploring the city’s distinctive architecture, winter streets and spectacular ice sculptures, before travelling into the mountains for four full days of skiing at Yabuli. This eight-day journey combines the culture and winter atmosphere of Harbin with time on the slopes at one of China’s best-known ski destinations.

At a Glance
Arrive in Harbin
Arrive in Harbin and settle into your hotel in the city centre. In the evening, head out to explore Central Street, where historic European-influenced architecture, winter lights and snow-covered streets create one of Harbin’s most distinctive cityscapes.
Continue to St. Sophia Cathedral to see the landmark illuminated after dark, before enjoying your first taste of Northeast Chinese cuisine.

Discover Harbin in Winter
Spend the day discovering the winter character of Harbin. Visit the Sun Island Snow Sculpture Art Expo or Harbin Museum, with time to explore the city and learn more about its history and distinctive ice-and-snow culture.
As evening falls, visit Harbin Ice and Snow World. Walk among monumental ice structures, illuminated sculptures and frozen landscapes at one of Harbin’s most celebrated winter attractions.
Into the Mountains
After breakfast, leave Harbin and travel to Yabuli Ski Resort. The approximately four-hour journey takes you away from the city and into the snow-covered landscapes of Heilongjiang.
On arrival, check into your resort hotel and spend the afternoon getting familiar with the resort. Collect and fit your ski equipment, explore the surroundings and prepare for the ski days ahead.
Enjoy skiing at Yabuli Ski Resort
Four full days are dedicated to skiing at Yabuli, giving you time to explore the mountain at your own pace and choose terrain suited to your ability and confidence.
Beyond skiing, you can also experience some of the resort’s other winter activities, including snowmobiling and horse-drawn sleigh rides. After each day on the mountain, return to the hotel to unwind and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the resort.
Departure
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and leaving Yabuli. Travel back to Harbin by road, followed by a transfer to Harbin Taiping International Airport for your onward journey.
