Powder Mountain Freeride Long Season
Built in 2020, Koktokay International Ski Resort, is a premier, high-altitude destination known for having one of the longest ski seasons in Asia, typically running from October to May. It offers developing facilities, dry powder snow, and a huge 1,350-meter vertical drop. Koktokay offers intermediate to advanced skiers a genuine big mountain experience. Often described as similar to Canada or Colorado/Utah. The resort is in the early stages of development so apres facilities and nightlife are limited, but the terrain and snow quality is what Koktokay is all about. It could be considered the Revelstoke of China. The closest accommodation is in Koktokay Town around 10 minutes drive. Drive time from Altay City is around 4 – 5 hours.

In the ski resort core area, ski-in/ski-out hotels sit directly beside the slopes and lifts, enabling immediate access to skiing. These properties feature natural wood-and-stone design, a quiet alpine atmosphere, and some offer panoramic mountain views, butler service, ski shuttles, and basic dining, focusing on privacy and premium ski convenience. In the town at the mountain base, accommodation is more practical and value-oriented, including family apartments, guesthouses, and budget hotels with kitchens and laundry facilities. With restaurants, shops, and transport nearby, it is well suited for families and long-stay guests. Koktokay combines on-mountain ski convenience with off-mountain living support, serving both dedicated skiers and leisure travelers.
Koktokay Six Terrace Apartment Hotel is not only a ski resort accommodation, but also a destination-style apartment hotel integrating culture, design, and ski services. The overall design is themed around skiing, while incorporating local mining culture elements of Koktokay, combining historical elements with modern style to create an artistic "snow valley resort space". The hotel adheres to the "feel at home" concept, with apartment-style rooms equipped with open kitchens, complete cookware and tableware, washer-dryers, and toiletries, making them especially suitable for long-stay skiers and families.
